Treasure Valley 3D uses the latest Computer Numerical Control technology to precisely cut your material within +/-.005″ tolerance. If you already have a file in DXF or DWG form; perfect. You’re one step closer to having a finished product, contact us for a quote. If you have a drawing on a piece of paper, we can convert that file to a .DXF or .DWG necessary for our water jet machine.

CUTTING
With a 6’x 12′ bed, Treasure Valley 3D can cut large footprint material–our dynamic water jet head can cut through 8″ material. With 87,000 psi Hyper Pressure™ Technology from Flow, Treasure Valley 3D can cut everything without the heat-affected zones of torch cutting methods. We can deliver you higher quality parts with a shorter turnaround time thanks to state of the art technology.
How Waterjet Cutting Works
Waterjet cutting is accelerated erosion. Our pump pressurizes water to 87,000 psi and forces it through a tiny orifice, and a fine garnet abrasive is mixed into the stream. That jet wears away the material along the programmed path. Because there’s almost no heat, there’s no heat-affected zone, no warping and no scorched edges, so you get a smoother edge than plasma or torch cutting.
Everything we cut is driven by our CNC waterjet, so complex profiles come out accurate and repeatable with minimal burr, whether you need one part or a thousand.
Types of waterjet cutting
- Abrasive waterjet: water plus garnet abrasive. This is our workhorse for metal, stone, tile, glass and composites.
- Pure waterjet: water only, for soft materials like foam, rubber and gaskets.
- Fine / micro-abrasive: a finer abrasive for delicate materials and small, intricate features that sawing or drilling would damage.

We cut a wide variety of metals and have cut hundreds of metal projects. Steel is what we cut most. Our system cuts it with water pressurized to 87,000 psi, and because waterjet cutting doesn’t scorch the steel, you get clean, burr-free edges and tight tolerances with very little waste.

We cut a wide variety of natural materials. We can cut custom designs into a flat piece of wood or cut it into a curvy shape with a smooth, clean edge. In tile and stone we cut precise, clean lines without chipping, for decorative or functional pieces. Glass is delicate, but we cut it easily.
